A dental hygienist is specially trained in the prevention and treatment of gum (periodontal) disease, which is the main cause of adult tooth loss, the hygienist is also trained to give advice on all aspects of oral health.
Regular visits to a dental hygienist will help improve dental health including the prevention of periodontal (gum) disease bleeding gums and dental decay.
Our hygienist is Angie. She has 27 years experience as a dental hygienist and has been working part time at Carillon Dental Care for 8 years. The dental hygienist's role within the practice is to provide dental health advice along with personalised treatment plans usually involving cleaning teeth to help patients achieve and maintain dental health. We encourage all our patients to visit the hygienist at least twice a year.
Angie is qualified to provide advice on gum treatments, diet, fluoride application, fissure sealants, tooth whitening, as well as maintenance of fillings, crowns and bridges as part of our preventative treatment service.
The hygienist is a private service costing £29.50 per session. Payment required upon booking, 24 hours notice of cancellation, no refund available if appointment is missed.
We want you to be proud of your mouth and regular visits with Angie should help you achieve and maintain the perfect smile!
