Dr Mohammed Kaderbhai qualified at Leeds Dental School in 1992 and spent the next 2 years as a junior doctor in various hospitals in Leeds and Sheffield pursuing his special interest in surgical dentistry. He spent the following 2 years in various practices working as a general dentist in Leicester before he opened Carillon Dental Care in 1996. He has a speciality interest in prosthodontics, his interests are in providing advanced and complex dental care which includes cosmetic dentistry and implants. He has numerous postgraduate qualifications which include a Masters degree in Prosthodontics. He has been a LDC committee member since 2005.
Dr Raja qualified in Cardiff and completed his vocational training in a busy city center dental practice. His interest and focus has been more towards cosmetic dentistry and is a certified Invisalign and Quick Straight Teeth provider which are the clear cosmetic braces systems. Dr Raja is an active member of the BACD-British Academy of Cosmetic Dentists and the ESAO-European Society of Aesthetic Orthodontics who regularly attends all lectures and conferences. He has recently completed a course and is now certified with the British Institute of Laser Dentistry.
Hemal graduated from the University of Birmingham and carried out his Vocational Training right here at Carillon. Hemal then undertook an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training post at the Royal Derby Hospital. Since then his interest has always been on surgical and restorative dentistry. He has devoted lot of time developing his skills in dealing with more complex cases, ranging from cosmetic fillings to root canals and smile makeovers. Hemal has also undertaken training in Dental Implants as well as currently studying for a Master’s Degree in Restorative Dentistry. He has the great privilege of being an Educational Supervisor to newly qualified Dentists and is involved in training the next generation of dentists. Away from dentistry he has recently developed a love of landscape photography, any excuse to go travelling!
Shruthi graduated in Dentistry in 2000 and achieved Membership of Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) with the Royal College of Surgeons (London) in 2004. Shruthi has a comprehensive experience in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from several NHS organisations in addition to her general dentistry training. She decided to become a General Dental Practitioner in 2006. Shruthi further trained in intra-venous conscious sedation to help the very nervous patients have their treatment comfortably. Shruthi is ambitious and always keeping up to date with the latest innovations in dentistry. Her creative talents not only shine in her dental work, but she has a great interest in art. She enjoys travelling to experience different cultures and love reading books
Dr Moran graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2017 and completed her Foundation Training Year with us here at Carillon. Charlie’s aim is to make patients feel at ease, with a friendly but professional approach. She has done further courses to train in dental acupuncture which can be used to treat a variety of symptoms in dentistry, she has also taken training in Cfast cosmetic tooth alignment. In her spare time, Charlotte likes to spend time with her friends and family and plays hockey for a local team.
Genie began her dental career in 2005 as a dental nurse, working in both an orthodontic practice and general practices, where she gained her dental nursing qualification. She later enrolled on the dental hygiene and therapy course at the University of Sheffield, where she qualified in 2012. She carries out all aspects of treatment within her remit but her special interests lie within tooth whitening and cosmetic fillings. Her belief is that patients care and satisfaction is paramount, her patient and reassuring nature enable her to treat nervous patients, adults and children with ease.
Sian has been working in dentistry since finishing her A levels. She started as a dental nurse and then gained various qualifications within dental nursing, then finally qualifying as a dental hygienist and therapist, from Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in Sheffield, in 2012. Sian enjoys all aspects of her role, but practically enjoys treating anxious patients and children. Away from work Sian likes to enjoy as much time with her family; exploring the country or just staying local.
Holly has worked at Carillon Dental Care since 2010 and qualified as a dental nurse in 2012. Since then, Holly has continued her training and has qualifications in Oral Health Education, Fluoride application and Impression Taking. Holly enjoys every aspect of dental nursing, but especially the surgical side, Implant nursing is one of her passions. As a senior member of staff, Holly has a great knowledge which allows her to train new members of staff, she finds it exciting to watch new members grow within the profession. Holly is very caring and enjoys making patients feel calm and relaxed. Alongside dentistry, Holly has organised a charity skydive, bake sales (Sugar free!) and oral health education stalls within the community. Holly is an animal lover and an advocate of animal welfare. Being a vegetarian, she enjoys trying new vegan cuisine and educating others of benefits, mind, body and soul of being a vegan. In her spare time, she enjoys socialising with friends and family, as well as spending time with her two cats, Maude and Bunny.
Steph started here as a patient care coordinator in 2015 and developed a serious interest into dentistry. She was then given the opportunity to train as a dental nurse and she jumped at the chance! She is now a fully qualified dental nurse and is always looking to develop her skills and training further with relevant courses. She recently qualified in being a sedation nurse as she wanted to really help nervous patients throughout their dental journey. Steph enjoys helping patients and making their journey as easy as possible. She also loves spending time with her pooch, Skylar and socialising with friends.
Nadine studied at Leicester College and has been a qualified dental nurse since December 2013. Since then Nadine has continued her training and has qualifications in Oral Health Education, Fluoride Application & is currently doing a Dental Radiography Course. Nadine enjoys caring for patients and ensuring that their visit is calm & enjoyable as possible.
Daniella joined the practice in September 2017 and qualified to be a dental nurse in 2019. She has a degree in learning disability studies from The University of Manchester and has always had a keen interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. Daniella loves to provide the best patient care possible and aims to qualify as a dental nurse. Outside of work, Daniella enjoys gardening, music and baking. She also enjoys travelling and visiting her family in Australia.
This is Steph, one of our new Trainee Dental Nurses. Alongside nursing Steph also works on reception where she enjoys greeting patients and putting them at ease before going into surgery. In her spare time Steph enjoys spending time with family and friends and looking after her dog Maxie. One of Steph’s passions is helping patients feel at ease during their time in surgery. Prior to working at Carillon, Steph did her A-levels where she studied English Literature/Language, media Studies and Business studies.
Emily is one of our new trainee dental nurses, she is 21 and thrilled to be part of the carillon team. Emily has lived in Loughborough all of her life- accept three years which she spent in Switzerland. Thanks to that experience, Emily can speak fluent French and loves winter sports including skiing and ice skating. During her spare time, Emily enjoys visiting friends and family. She has an adventurous personality which leads to her love of discovering new places, learning about different cultures, languages and meeting new people.
Sam recently joined the practice after spending nearly 8 years in the outdoor industry. She’s been fortunate enough to have worked around the world on her own including Cambodia, Finland & Poland. Using her soft skills learnt from working with children & vulnerable adults, she really enjoys creating a safe and calm environment for anxious patients. In her spare time Sam takes part in running competitions and is very keen rugby fan attending Leicester tiger and England matches. She currently is changing habits into plastic consumption and recycling. As well as trying to grow vegetables to make her home as self-efficient as possible.
Rebekah has been with Carillon since 2011, she qualified under the NEBDN as a dental nurse in 2013 straight after she decided to further her knowledge and take the oral health educator course under BDA which she qualified in 2014. Rebekah developed even further and been our assistant manager late 2014 for 4 years and really enjoys challenging herself and enjoys creating a good bond with the team and our patients, Rebekah Thrives on creating a family environment within the team, Rebekah feels the management job role is right for her and brings something different each day which she would like to continue and has now become our Practice manager.
Fay has worked as a dental nurse within the NHS since 2008 and went onto qualify with the National Dental Board for Dental Nurses in 2011. Having spent a number of years in various roles Fay wanted to further her knowledge and skills and enrolled onto a Dental Practice Management University course where she soon realised that she thrives upon daily patient contact and working in a customer care environment, where patient care is key.
Jessica is one of our patient care coordinators. This is her first job within dentistry, Jessica really enjoys getting to know patients and making them feel comfortable, which can help put people at ease. Her hobbies include taking care of her dog Archie, shopping and socialising.
Amelia is one of our patient care coordinators. This is Amelia’s first role within Dentistry, but she is thriving at the opportunity to learn to new skills and experiences. Prior to this, Amelia has five years’ experience in customer service, with many accolades to prove this. Amelia has progressed within Carillon and is now covering Treatment Coordinator role and thoroughly enjoys speaking with patients and gaining a relationship. Amelia has great interpersonal skills with a caring personality to coincide with this. Away from the practice, Amelia has a passion for interior design and takes great care of accessorising her home.
As a qualified dental nurse, Melissa has a good dental knowledge, which helps her within her role of treatment coordinator. Melissa loves creating relationships with patients and is there to answer any initial questions regarding our services and discussing individual treatment plans with patients. Melissa takes a keen interest in all dental treatment, including cosmetic work. She loves being there with patients along their journey and seeing the end results! Outside of work, Melissa spends time with family and friends, she has two dogs, Cliff and Claude, who she loves taking on long walks. Melissa also enjoys eating out and going to live music concerts.
